Plague Inc Launched A New Mode Called The Cure

Plague Inc developed by Ndemic Creations launched a new version for their game. The game was first released in 2012, and the latest update is after 8 years.

It’s a real-time strategy simulation game where players creating and evolving a deadly pathogen that can quickly spread throughout the human population.

According to reports, Plague Inc. has seen a surge in downloads since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The new update is called The Cure. In this very update, the player has to stop a widely spread disease and raise awareness among the people. The player needs to find the origin, track the spread of the disease, increase testing capacity, impose lockdowns and implement new rules to keep the pandemic under control.

Development on The Cure was first announced back in March. This mode is meant to create awareness among the people about the deadly diseases. This mode was made in association with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness (CEPI), World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN).

In addition to this Ndemic Creations has donated $250,000 which will be split between WHO and CEPI for their efforts in controlling the virus.

In a press release, James Vaughan, the founder of Ndemic Creations said

“Eight years ago, I never imagined the real world would come to resemble a game of Plague Inc. or that my game would be in a position to help educate and inform people.

Plague Inc.: The Cure is available now for download on the Apple Store and Google Play. Although The Cure is a premium mode, it’s free to play until the COVID-19 is controlled.
