Play Console and PC Games on Your Phone Using Amazon, Google, Sony or Nvidia

If you want to play amazing console and PC games on your phone and haven't heard about cloud gaming services such as Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, Nvidia Geforce Now, or PS4 Now, I think it's time you read this article and have your life flipped upside down.

What Exactly is Cloud Gaming?

Cloud gaming or gaming streaming services are platforms that works somewhat similar to video streaming services such as YouTube or Netflix but for playing games. All you need is an internet connection, a screen to broadcast the game (PC, tablet, phone, TV, laptop, etc.) and some sort of device for controls, in this case the touch screen on your phone or a connected controller works perfectly.

On the more technical side to how cloud gaming works is that the platforms will have datacenters of super computers and servers hosting the games you want to play, and you are basically borrowing those systems remotely and broadcasting them on the screen of your choice. The only down side to this is that you need a pretty decent and stable internet connection to make the best out of cloud gaming services, otherwise you may see delay in input and graphic quality interruptions.

How Can I Play Cloud Games On My Phone?

Playing cloud games on your phone (whether iOS or Android) is actually quite easy and barely any setup required. Once you have signed up for one of the services mentioned above, you can then download their respective app on your App Store or Play Store. Launch the app, choose the game you want to play (no installation required) and jump into the game right away! Keep in mind almost all of these games are designed for console or PC, so the controls might not be optimised for touch screen which I highly recommend getting a controller or keyboard and mouse that is compatible with your phone. You can see our buyer's guide on the best controller setup for your phone.

Now, let's dive into each cloud gaming service. (From a mobile gaming perspective)
